the need to participate in a program to prevent your problems
future return.
Our

program based on your specific deficits and problems.
Our treatment programs are based on a very active approach
which combines manual therapy techniques, education and
functional exercise.
We
use numerous exercise approaches in conjunction with manual
therapy techniques to assist you to recover as quickly
as possible. We
believe that education is a vital component to help prevent
a recurrence.
Seneca Wellness &
Fitness Center
Inaugurated
in 1997, the Seneca Wellness Center was originally designed
for those patients who have been discharged from PT and
want to continue to work toward their fitness and overall
health goals in a medically-based environment.
Our
clinical setting and staff of exercise physiologists and
physical therapists offers an experience unlike many commercial
gyms in terms of family atmosphere and level of expertise.
For
our patients, the Wellness Center provides the perfect
transition from hands-on physical therapy to an exercise
regime that increases their overall fitness level, while
continuing to focus on the area treated during PT.
Exercise
physiologist Eden Smith
BS, CSCS is the Wellness Center coordinator. Under
her direction, each client’s program is reviewed, revised
and updated every 6-8 weeks.

Nutritional
Counseling
Nutrition
is a crucial part of the overall health and fitness puzzle.
Therefore, in conjunction with The
Seneca Wellness & Fitness Center,
we also provide the opportunity for our clients to meet
with a registered dietitian to address their nutritional
needs.
After a complete nutritional profile and evaluation, counseling
consists of devising strategies to integrate the likes/dislikes
of the client with lifestyle, time constraints, unique
medical history and individual goals. The result is a
safer and more effective approach to weight loss than
traditional commercial programs that are not monitored
by a professional with a clinical medical background.

Body
Composition
Analysis

Body
composition, not weight, is the best measure of health
and fitness. Body composition can have a direct
impact on your health, athletic performance, and even
your life expectancy.
Obesity is clearly associated with heart disease,
strokes, hypertension, hyper-cholesterolemia, diabetes,
certain forms of cancers and other medical problems.
